Lenten Malling

Our culture every Lenten Season from the past are colored with so many events like bisita iglesia, 7 palabaras, and many more. We simply celebrated the Season with what we called "traditions" of the church. Really, traditions are being tested by modern ways of living. "Malling" as it enters our new revised dictionary, also enters our culture. As we remember the three teachings of this Season, REPENTANCE, PRAYERS, and ALMS GIVING the first two are obviously easy task for us to perform. But ALMS GIVING...eeehhheeeeemmmm....with Malling???? How???? Let see, how we could perfom the GIVING of ALMS without sacrificing Malling? or the the other way around....?

Tired of commitment?

Instant is everywhere... Instant noodles..instant coffee... even instant boyfriend or girlfriend..... and worst, instant baby. We are giving the mind set that our existence in this world is short enough so we must be hurry. On other way around, we are always in a hurry because we don't want to commit. We are afraid of commitment. We loose control of everything if we don't pause.

Latin Song...the advent of Latin Mass renewal

I'm very happy to hear that the Latin Mass will soon be practiced in our parishes. I really like Latin mass simply because it gives us the atmosphere of ancient Christianity. Perhaps latin gives us the accurate meaning of words, but the main reason of restoring the practice is to renew our faith with the church, especially to our mother church in Rome. We are suppose to practice some Latin songs, starting with Panis Angelicus, Pater Noster, Gloria, etc...

The truth will set him free?

He's trying to believe the old saying, " the truth will set him free". Where's the truth anyway? How the truth will set him free? His mind exhausted, his tears dried up. Veritas, veritatis cannot be found? He knows the truth, but the world doesn't want to accept it. What world? Of course the world of the liars, politics? perhaps non i toto. Few, we believe. Pilate asked, " what is the truth?" Where's the truth anyway? Lozada triggered that the truth is waiting to be personified. A new EDSA? People hate it anyway! So what's the new fashion? hate of old style? BLOGGING.... may be better than the rest.... no sweating.... no shouting .... no scratching of both legs, tired of standing for long hours.... safe....
